So, if you happen to be in Silverthorne, Colorado, you should definitely stop into the Angry James. It is truly a fun location with eclectic seating and a cool ambience. Not only that, they have some awesome beers. We were staying in Silverthorne in order to take advantage of a couple of the major ski resorts in the area. We headed to Breckenridge and Vail with plans to go to Copper Mountain as well but ended up going back to Vail.

Silverthorne is a great central spot to stay for all of these and I had a friend who was Manager of the Hotel we were staying in. So, that didn’t hurt. The steak place next door to the hotel was truly epic. The Historic Mint, in business since 1862, is the locals’ choice for steaks, seafood, & fun! It’s the oldest building in Summit County and we had a great time picking out and grilling our own steaks. It was really fun. And the Angry James was on the next corner, so we could enjoy a brew or two.

Prairies to Peaks

  • One of my favorite beers at Angry James. It’s a nice hoppy West Coast IPA. Very smooth and hoppy.
